From the beginning
The Holzhueter Family.
Left to Right: Galen, Emily, Paul, Val, Lindsay, Grant, Emma, Greg
Paul and Val Holzhueter have always been dedicated to supporting ministries locally and beyond through the financial blessings God has given them. They instilled in their children the importance of giving back to God, the source of all blessings.
Their desire to do more and create a lasting impact led them to establish the Holzhueter Foundation in 1998. This foundation allowed them to extend their generosity in a meaningful and enduring way.
From the beginning, they envisioned involving their sons, as they had always emphasized the importance of returning a portion of God’s gifts to Him. As their sons grew into adulthood, they became active participants in the foundation.
Today, Grant, Greg, Galen, and their spouses play an integral role in the foundation, ensuring that Paul and Val’s vision of long-term impact continues—supporting ministries of the WELS and those in fellowship with it for generations to come.
In 2023, the family chose to rename the foundation to better reflect Paul and Val’s vision and the involvement of future generations.
The process of selecting a new name was thoughtful and intentional, guided by several key goals:
Incorporating the number three to represent Paul and Val’s three sons.
Honoring the core vision that inspired Paul and Val to establish the foundation.
Emphasizing lasting impact across generations.
Inspiring others to use God’s blessings to support His ministries and expand His Kingdom.
From this vision, the 3GH Foundation was born. Paul and Val pray that, through this foundation, they will cultivate generations of grateful, giving hearts, passing on the responsibility of stewardship to their sons and beyond.
